The Well Within Practice Program is for individuals that understand the importance of having a consistent practice or exercise program.  Often times the best intentions of doing something good for your bodies are thwarted by not knowing what to practice, or worse yet, not knowing if we are "doing it correctly".

The Well Within Practice Program is a highly individualized program designed to fit to your specific goals, environment and time you are able to dedicate to yourself.  The Practice Program takes the guess work out of what to do and helps align you to your fitness and wellness goals.  To find learn more please click here to contact us.

Props for Practice? The Iyengar tradition is widely known for their use of props. Having the right support in the form of props can help the student in the following ways:

  1. Supports the student so the pose becomes accessible.

  2. Aids in facilitating alignment of the pose and the student.

  3. Can deepen the understanding of the action(s) necessary in the poses.

  4. In a restorative setting can allow the student to relax and receive the benefit of the pose with in effortless manner.

Having said that, the practice of Iyengar Yoga is not about buying the props or even having them. It is more about having the will and discipline to have a consistent, daily practice.  Use what space you have. Utilize what is available around you: a wall, a chair, a table, a stool, books, etc. Have your practice guide you to what you need and it may very well not be prop related.

However, if you would like the support and informative quality of props, if used correctly, please see below for a list of suggested props.
